    To provide a creative and social outlet for at-risk youth that helps to avoid the misplaced creative energy that results in gang violence, crime, and abuse and that increases success in education, productive citizenship,  and personal accountability.

    To develop and administer community based programs and activities that are necessary, useful, or desirable for the furtherance, accomplishment, fostering, or attainment of the foregoing goals, either directly or indirectly, and either alone or in conjunction or cooperation with others, whether such others be persons or organizations of any kind or nature, such as corporations, firms, associations, trusts, institutions, foundations, or governmental bureaus, departments, or agencies.

 

Our Goals

    To raise the artistic, economic, educational, and social levels of low-income, under-privileged youth and groups by fostering and promoting interest in, concern for and responses to the problems of at-risk youth and the community.

    To focus community-wide attention and social concerns on decreasing youth involvement in gang violence, chemical abuse and crime and increasing access to educational, athletic and economic opportunities.

    To foster positive youth involvement in community directed healthful, artistic and creative activities.

    To promote the interests and participation of at-risk youth in educating and raising the awareness of the general public about community problems and services.

    To develop and showcase the artistic talents of low-income, under-privileged youth and groups and to direct public attention to the needs and services of low-income communities.

 
CLOUT Initiative:BATTLE NIGHT   
 

BATTLE NIGHT is a monthly event that allows young people to  compete and showcase their individual talents before an audience of their peers.  Youth are encouraged to express themselves through dance,  drama, song, poetry, as well as comedy.  Tommy the Clown & Miss Prissy serve as the emcee and host.  
BATTLE NIGHT VENUE 
The Los Angeles Trade-Technical College’s Grand Theater will be the home for Battle Night. This historical facility can accommodate over 1500 people. There is adequate security, lighting and ample parking.   There are also convenient public transportation options. LA Trade Tech is offering scholarship awards to promote the importance of higher education.  
BATTLE NIGHT OBJECTIVES

       To promote creativity, individuality, and spirited competition while empowering young people to establish goals through education.
